Job overview:
The Joiner will support the joinery team in producing high-quality custom joinery and cabinetry. This role involves assisting in various stages of the manufacturing process, including material preparation, assembly, and finishing, while adhering to quality standards and project timelines. The Joiner will report directly to the Workshop Foreman.
Key responsibilities:
Production support
Assist in the preparation, assembly, and installation of joinery components under supervision.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, if required and with supervision.
- Machinery experience required
- Panel saw
- Routers
- Spindle (advantage)
- Thickness and Joiners (advantage)
- Sand, finish, and polish joinery products to meet project specifications.
- Assist with handling and organizing materials to ensure a seamless workflow in the workshop.
Workshop maintenance
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe, ensuring tools and equipment are maintained properly.
- Report any issues with tools or equipment to the Workshop Foreman.
Collaboration and communication
- Work closely with other joiners and the Workshop Foreman to understand project requirements and deadlines.
- Provide regular updates on assigned tasks and notify the team of any challenges encountered.
