Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior IT Operations Manager to oversee and maintain our cloud-based IT estate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 1st line support and now be confident managing and optimizing a modern, cloud-first infrastructure. You will be responsible for the configuration, security, compliance, and licensing of key systems, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will work with our 1st line support partner who you can manage to deliver business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the day-to-day operations of the IT estate, with a focus on cloud-based systems.
Maintain and optimize Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, and InTune environments.
Configure and manage DNS settings across internal and external services.
Administer and automate workflows using Power Automate.
Oversee access control, security policies, and compliance across all IT systems.
Manage software licenses and ensure cost-effective usage.
Onboarding, and administration of SaaS platforms (e.g., CRMs, email marketing tools, VoIP platforms).
Provide escalation support and guidance to 1st line support engineer.
Develop and maintain IT documentation, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT operations with business goals.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in IT operations management, with a background in 1st line support.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Microsoft Office 365 (administration and configuration)
Exchange Online
Microsoft InTune
DNS configuration and troubleshooting
Power Automate (workflow creation and management)
Experience managing and administering SaaS platforms (e.g., CRMs, marketing tools, VOIP).
Solid understanding of IT security, compliance, and access management.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of systems and processes.
Desirable Qualifications:
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, AZ-104)
Experience with ITIL practices
Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for automation
Experience in a fast-paced, scaling environment
