Role Purpose
To provide guidance in the implementation, installation, configuration and testing of system software on all relevant mainframes to code and automate tasks that optimise processing aligned to business requirements.
Are you someone who can:
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access across Jira and Confluence.
- First line support – Act’s as the primary point of contact for Jira/Confluence-related inquiries.
- Daily Capacity and health Checks
- Software maintenance and customisation
- Active Directory Management, DNS, DHCP WINS
- Create Batch Schedules
- Create Change Order
- Code Basic JCL
- Code Basic Automation
- Support batch FTP and the creation of FTP encryption data by Development.
- Analyze and change batch schedules on request.
- Controls illegal Intrusions from non-permissible entities outside the corporate network
- Manages the FNB Group Corporate server infrastructure.
- Experience in System Administration & Maintenance
- Provide training and guidance to users on best practices.
- Create and manage custom workflows, fields, screens, and schemes in Jira.
- Develop and implement Confluence spaces, templates, and macros to improve documentation processes.
- Conduct regular audits of permissions and activity logs.
- Collaborate with teams to understand requirements and translate them into practical configurations.
- Document system configurations, workflows, and best practices.
- Process Automation (Optional but valuable) - Create automation rules using Jira Automation and scripts.
- Streamline manual processes to improve efficiency.
- Develop custom dashboards and reports for teams and management.
- Analyze system usage and recommend improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
- Minimum Qualification - Relevant Bachelor’s degree in information technology computer science, Information Systems or related field.
- Preferred Qualification - Control M/O/R certification.
- Experience - 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Prior batch scheduling or software equivalent.
- Programme/Batch monitoring.
- Developer fix application.
- Troubleshooting and analysis protocol.
- Monitoring and command center knowledge.
- Data processing.
- Infrastructure knowledge.
- Operating systems knowledge.
- Redhat Certification.
