Job Title: IT Technician – WiFi & Network Specialist
Location: 18 Jorissen Student Accommodation, Braamfontein

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable IT Technician with a strong focus on WiFi connectivity and network management to oversee and maintain the existing IT infrastructure at 18 Jorissen Student Accommodation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless internet access for residents, conducting regular network checks, troubleshooting issues, and optimising performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the building’s existing WiFi network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues reported by residents or staff
- Ensure optimal performance of routers, switches, and access points
- Perform regular diagnostics and preventative maintenance
- Liaise with Internet Service Providers (ISP) when needed
- Provide technical support and resolve system-related issues promptly
- Maintain security protocols and update firmware as required
- Document network layouts and technical interventions for future reference
Requirements:
- Proven experience in network and WiFi management
- Strong knowledge of routers, switches, LAN/WAN setups, and wireless networking
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software connectivity issues
- Familiarity with network security and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus

Pay: R2 000,00 - R4 000,00 per month
