ROLE PURPOSE:
This individual is a professional responsible for attracting suitable candidates for open job positions and assessing their relevant knowledge and experience. The successful candidate remains up-to-date on the requirements of the various positions in the organisation and assists with identifying future hiring needs, designing job descriptions, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, filing paperwork, and keeping abreast of employment law and legislation. This individual also assesses candidates` skills, experience, and relevant knowledge and compares them to job requirements, and provides administrative support to the HR Department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to onboarding.
- Develop and post job adverts across various channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other recruitment platforms, to attract qualified candidates.
- Screen CVs and conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess suitability.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Maintain and update a candidate database to build a strong talent pipeline.
- Liaise with management to understand staffing needs and role requirements.
- Ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience from application to hire.
- Prepare and present recruitment reports detailing progress, pipeline status, and hiring metrics.
- Meet company expectations and recruitment targets by delivering quality candidates within agreed timeframes.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, recruitment best practices, and evolving social media platforms.
- Promote the company's reputation as a good employment opportunity
- Keeping up-to-date on current employment legislation and regulations, and enforcing them within the company
- Providing the necessary information and reports to stakeholders and owners as required
- Assist with basic HR administrative tasks such as filing, updating staff records, and preparing onboarding documents.
- Support the HR team with general office coordination, events, and employee record keeping.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (NQF 4 ) Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (or equivalent) are Advantageous
- Computer literacy (Intermediate to advanced - Microsoft, G-suite etc.)
- 2-3 years proven Experience as a Recruiter in a similar (Contact center) environment
- Hands-on experience with various selection processes
- Ability to organize and prioritize skills assessment centers
- Familiarity with HR databases and systems (BambooHR)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Great telephone etiquette
- Experienced Headhunter with exceptional interviewing skills
