Job Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Specialist to manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and onboarding. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in recruitment and be currently studying towards a Human Resources diploma. This role plays a critical part in supporting the company’s talent acquisition strategy and ensuring the right talent is hired efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment life cycle for vacancies across various departments.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
- Create and post job advertisements on internal and external platforms.
- Screen CVs, conduct interviews, and shortlist candidates.
- Schedule interviews, gather feedback, and coordinate the hiring process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Ensure all recruitment activities are compliant with company policies and employment legislation.
- Assist in onboarding and induction processes for new hires.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Participate in career fairs, recruitment events, and employer branding initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the recruitment process.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
- Currently studying towards a National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management (NQF Level 6/7).
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition.
- Experience working with an applicant tracking system (ATS) or recruitment software is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple roles simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Good understanding of labour laws and recruitment best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A proactive, professional, and client-focused approach.
Desirable:
- Exposure to internal recruitment in a corporate or agency environment.
- Familiarity with psychometric testing and assessment tools.
- Passion for people development and talent management.
